The 5 “Dates” entrepreneurs should go on each month to stay consistent and grounded in your life.

Every month I conduct a grounded planning review, translating my vision for the month into a clear action plan.

And I always make sure I have a few standing “dates” on my calendar that keep me consistent in my life and business.

Here are 5 “dates” I ensure I have on my calendar each month.

  1. Visibility Date: Do you have a forum each month to teach, connect with your community or be otherwise visible and interact with potential clients? Show your expertise and interact with your current community and new faces.
  2. Finance Date: Make a date to reconcile your books, review your cash flow, pay yourself, make your investments, and rebalance your cash to “profit first” buckets. I do this for both my personal and professional accounts. It’s a lot easier each month and keeps me from anxiety around my taxes.
  3. Life Admin Date: One weekend a month is my “admin” time for my life. I do a big staples shop at Target/Costco, deep clean the house, and we plan out our family’s personal calendar.
  4. Pleasure Date: With a partner, a friend, or just yourself, book time for something deeply pleasurable. A date, a massage, a hike… just away from your screen!
  5. Grounded Planning and Reflection Date: In my planning date, I schedule the next one! I block a morning to grab my journal, a cup of tea, a quiet spot and reflect on the month that’s passed and plan out the month to come.

Which of these “dates” live on your calendar?
